Active vs. Inactive Members
Not everyone in your workspace will be an active, logged-in member. Workloom distinguishes between the two, and it matters.
Active member
An active member has:
- Accepted an invitation
- An active account in your workspace
- The ability to log in, view their profile, and request leave
Active members appear in your People list with a Member badge.
Inactive / pending person
A person who has been added to the workspace but hasn't accepted an invitation yet. They exist in your system — you can set up their contract and leave policies — but they can't log in.
This is also how people show up after an invitation has been sent but not yet accepted.
Offboarded members
When someone leaves your organization, you can deactivate their account. They move to an inactive state — their data stays in Workloom, but they can no longer access the workspace.
This keeps your records intact without cluttering your active member list.
Filtering your People list
In the People section, use the status filter to show:
- All people
- Active members only
- Invited (pending)
- Inactive
Keep your list clean by deactivating anyone who has left. It makes the active view much more useful day-to-day.
